If there is one company in the Netherlands that, in recent years, has made major contributions to the visibility and market acceptance of online backup, it’s KPN. Measured in absolute figures, KPN has since become the biggest supplier of online backup services in the Netherlands.

Ben Brassington, Director of Blaze Networks, is very enthusiastic about his online backup solution and his customers are too. “We were looking for a while for a good online backup solution. We compared several products, like IBM and Symantec, but most of them were ridiculously expensive and others weren’t exactly what we were looking for. At one moment I received a phone call from one of the sales consultants of IASO and his story sounded very good. IASO’s solution was exactly what we were looking for and that is how our cooperation with IASO started,” says Brassington.

Red Cell

Starting out as a backup service provider, Red Cell began offering managed services to the end user market, but quickly expanded to provide white label backup to their reseller network. This was welcomed by the channel as it provided two options for the resellers; either they could resell the Red Cell service to their end-users, or alternatively the resellers themselves could invest in the hardware and software needed to provide backup services directly. Red Cell serves over 50 SMB’s consisting of both resellers and end users, and is constantly seeking ways to develop the relationship between their current clients and IASO. CCE - one of the UK’s largest independent IT support companies 

CC Engineering (CCE) is one of the UK’s largest independent IT support companies, supplying managed services, hardware, support services and solutions to over 600 customers from a wide range of industries. The CCE philosophy of service beyond the call ensures delivery of a high level of service through a consultative approach strengthened by long-term strategic partnerships with leading IT manufacturers.

CCE didn't offer a managed backup service to their clients previously other than selling them stand alone tape devices. For CCE it's very important to deliver a high service level and they want to offer their clients a higher service regarding backup.

Chris McAuley, Director of IP Services at CC Engineering comments: "We heard of IASO via RedCell, one of our partners on the maintenance side of the business. Of course we wanted to make sure we chose the right vendor for our online backup service, so we compared IASO with other vendors. We chose IASO because of its ability to allow us to offer a fully managed service to our clients. In particular the ability to do a brick-level restore of Exchange Servers was a clincher for us as we had only seen that capability in products which cost significantly more than IASO and did not seem to give us the same levels of management control."
