How it works

IASO Backup Bank is based on a client-server software solution. The backup server is provided by IASO as either a shared or a dedicated managed service. In order to access the IASO backup server, client software has to be installed on the systems that need to be included in the backup. Although the software is easy to install, generally we recommend our customers to use the services of a qualified engineer to do this. IASO Backup Bank services are sold through the ICT reseller channel, and our channel partners have the expertise not only to install and configure the software but also to assist you in case of an incident, when data needs to be restored and systems rebuilt.

Backup selection

It is of course of the utmost importance that your backup selection includes all files and folders that you need, because data that is not selected, will not be backed up and cannot be recovered later. We recommend you to use qualified support personnel to make the right selections and in case of doubt consult the supplier(s) of your application software.

Reporting

After installation and configuration of the software, regular backups will be made in accordance with the defined schedule. IASO Backup Bank will report to you on a daily basis what the status of the backup service is. Whether or not the last backup session was succesful, how many backups have actually been made during the last 30 days, how many errors are reported, etc. This information is summarised in an easy to read dashboard , which is emailed to you and contains links to more detailed information on our customer portal.
